Job Description

As a Field Readiness Manager you will provide strategic guidance and day-to-day support to the PATT Field Readiness Architects.  These folks are the primary leaders by functional product area that drive field awareness and make sure consultants are fully equipped to implement Workday. 

 

Core Competencies/Experiences:

  • People management experience, managing teams of experienced, high performers.
  • Consulting experience and c ompetency  with project implementations: experience in the field as a billable consultant working on implementation projects within HCM (Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking), understanding of project methodology concepts.
  • Presentation Skills: background in presenting and creating presentation materials on a large scale with multiple audience types, includes background in Training or Knowledge Management organizations (virtual, classroom, recorded, etc.)
  • Publishing Skills: writing, editing and publishing competencies

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage Field Readiness PATT team, including personnel issues, performance reviews, compensation management, and goal setting
  • Leverage the PATT FR Architects to support the strategy for Implementation, Strategy and Enablement by deriving new ways to scale Field Readiness and create new experts in the field and ecosystem.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the PATT Field Readiness team of architects in the areas of:
  • Services Influence on the Product, Product Lead Program, Knowledge Sharing Sessions, Product Release Update Certification Program, Altitude, Rising and Workday major events
  • Support and guide team in the creation and maintenance of Workday tools, templates and training design for PATT areas
  • Work with Engagement Managers and Services Alliances Managers to identify critical gaps in consultant knowledge base and develop strategy to close those gaps
  • Facilitate Product Management alignment for strategic and tactical planning across the product area.
  • Guide team in keeping up to date and providing feedback on feature designs, product roadmap and development progress in PATT areas
  • Assist Field Readiness Architects with product escalation issues.
  • Guide team in influencing product direction based on customer needs and deployment needs

Customer Adoption

  • Work with Customer Enablement team to develop, plan and roll out new features, services, tools and/or products
  • Guide the Field Readiness Architects in their support of consultants in the initial implementations of new features and/or products
  • Gather feedback from customers and consultants on new features and/or products and work with development to ensure enhancements are documented appropriately
  • Work with Customer Success to identify critical gaps in customer knowledge and work with Customer Adoption team to develop strategy to close those gaps

Requirements:

  • 4 year College Degree or 6+ years of experience meeting above competencies
  • 1+ year deploying Workday
  • 1+ year within a start-up company environment preferred
  • 1+ years in a management role
  • Some travel required, approximately (up to) 25%  
  • Ideally located in Pleasanton HQ however not required
