Requirements
The IT Production Specialist for Hayden McNeil and Macmillan Learning Curriculum Solutions will be responsible for ensuring that our production systems run smoothly and are modernized as needed to support the growing business needs, and in accordance with organization policies and goals. Systems that this position will oversee include our project life cycle management (Esko WebCenter), prepress workflow automation and integration (Esko Automation Engine) and the digital asset management (Extensis Portfolio) systems. Knowledge of platforms that support production related technology will also be a part of this role, including but not limited to, Microsoft Navision, Salesforce, website integration and reporting tools.

This position will develop strong working relationships with vendors, contractors and consultants to create a robust technical workflow that will meet production needs. He or she will help support Macmillan Learning migrations and data feeds to keep our systems aligned.

The IT Production Specialist will support the IT Manager and IT Design Specialist with day-to-day tasks, priorities and/or special projects. They will work closely as a team to ensure all systems run smooth and will recommend changes to keep operations secure.

  • Design and implement production systems according to business goals and objectives. Support day-to-day business processes and ensure WebCenter and Automation Engine requirements are understood and translated to technical solutions. Collaborate with users to understand workflow needs in order to maintain and enhance system features and functionality.
  • Works with vendors and internal stakeholders to continue shaping and implementing production enhancements. Support back-end systems that will produce live data to users and customers, including Customer Portal, Portfolio Content Collection and Jet Reports.
  • Work with Macmillan Learnings consultants to map our product and customer relationship data so sales can represent our products to the market and customers appropriately. Support internal teams with relevant reporting, data, tools and training.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure applications consistently perform at a high-level to support business applications. Answer tickets when they have been assigned, along with supporting end-user daily needs.

    Skills/experience required:

    5+ years IT experience. Must be available for 24x7 support and willing to work a flexible schedule when necessary. Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
    Very proficient in IT operations and technically-oriented.
    Must be able to work across teams and communicate well.

    Education Requirement: Bachelor degree preferred.
