A Lot About You

As Front End Engineer, Yahoo Sports. you will specialize in building high performance, scalable, cross-browser compatible, accessible and elegant web applications for the Sports community. We're looking for team leaders, people who want to make a difference, and folks who are active in both Sports and the Front End community. You will work hand in hand with world-class teams of other software engineers and architects as well as backend engineers, and domain experts to build amazing and emotional experiences that will delight our users. If you love end-to-end development, writing standardized code, working with test frameworks, this could be the perfect role for you.

Your Day

  • -Work on Fantasy games as the official partner to MLB, NBA, and NHL, not to mention the #1 Fantasy Football product on the market

  • -Significant engineering ownership in a complex client side application

  • -Improvements on existing code, debugging and investigation of user issues

  • -Active participation in designing and shipping the product

  • -Build products that strive to benefit hundreds of millions of users

  • -Write technically excellent software via sound engineering principles

  • -Collaborate with and learn from designers, product managers, engineers, and executives

  • -Learn and share new technologies with the team, attend various Hack Days, and present findings at local community events.

You Must Have

  • -B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

-Strong JavaScript background, with knowledge of React and Flux

-Proven CSS experience at the current W3C spec

-Experience building high traffick Web Applications

-Design and development experience and strong communication and collaborative skills to work in an agile team

-Being a passionate Sports fan is a huge plus
